RESUMO

Urban lakes provide important ecological services to local communities, such as flood mitigation, biodiversity, and recreation. With rapid urbanization, urban lakes are significantly affected by socio-economic development and urgently need attention. Yet there is still a lack of datasets that include tiny urban lakes on a global or national scale. This study aims to produce a high-resolution circa-2020 map of urban lakes (≥0.001 km2) in China. The 10-m-resolution Sentinel-2 imagery and a simple but robust water extraction method was used to generate waterbodies. The accuracy of this national-scale dataset was evaluated by comparing it with manually sampled urban units, with the average accuracy of 81.85% in area and 93.35% in count. The database totally inventories 1.11 × 106 urban lakes in China, with a net area of ~2.13 × 103 km2. Overall, the spatial distribution of urban lakes in China showed strongly heterogeneous characteristics. This dataset will enhance our understanding of the distribution pattern of China's urban lakes and contribute to better ecological and environmental management as well as sustainable urban development planning.

RESUMO

The stacking heterostructure of graphene on bulk h-BN produces a moiré pattern with topographic corrugation. The corrugation of the moiré pattern expectantly induces a considerable curvature and a flexoelectric response, which calls for a detailed study. In this work, we used lateral force microscopy, a scanning technique to locally observe the moiré pattern and topographic corrugation. The curvature and flexoelectric potentials are derived from the measured topographic corrugation, revealing a huge curvature of ∼107 m-1 and a flexoelectric potential of ∼10 mV in the hexagonal domain wall region (∼3-4 nm) of the moiré pattern. In addition, the domain walls of the moiré pattern also generate a clear electromechanical and frictional response, arising from the corrugation-induced flexoelectric response. In summary, the results of this work provide insights into the understanding of the flexoelectricity in the graphene/bulk h-BN and its associated electromechanical coupling behavior in the moiré pattern of a van der Waals stacking heterostructure.

RESUMO

Developing a single-phase self-rectifying memristor with the continuously tunable feature is structurally desirable and functionally adaptive to dynamic environmental stimuli variations, which is the pursuit of further smart memristors and neuromorphic computing. Herein, we report a van der Waals ferroelectric CuInP2S6 as a single memristor with superior continuous modulation of current and self-rectifying to different bias stimuli (sweeping speed, direction, amplitude, etc.) and external mechanical load. The synergetic contribution of controllable Cu+ ions migration and interfacial Schottky barrier is proposed to dynamically control the current flow and device performance. These outstanding sensitive features make this material possible for being superior candidate for future smart memristors with bidirectional operation mode and strong recognition to input faults and variations.

RESUMO

Environmentally friendly lead-free piezoelectric materials have been attracting significant attention in recent years. Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3-based relaxor ferroelectrics have found acceptance for application in promising lead-free transducers in high-power ultrasonic devices. However, their low thermal stability, i.e., their relatively low ferroelectric-relaxor transition temperature (TF-R), hinders their practical application. Herein, a thermal-quenching approach is applied on a Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3 (NBT)-based single crystal, which yields a large increase in TF-R and dramatic enhancement of its ferroelectric ordering, leading to excellent thermal stability of its dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties. This behavior is mainly attributed to quenching-induced domain evolution as well as its octahedral tilt, which is linked to the increased oxygen vacancies. The substitution of long-range ordered ferroelectric domains for short-range polar nanodomains contributes to its increased coherence length and, consequently, enhancement of TF-R. This work provides an approach to the optimization of the ferroelectric ordering and thermal stability of NBT as well as an in-depth understanding of the quenching effect on the local structure, which could be applied to other relaxor-based ferroelectrics for optimization of their macroscopic properties.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical outcomes of percutaneous cross screws internal fixation for pelvic Day type II crescent fracture-dislocation. METHODS: We reviewed 66 consecutive patients undergoing surgical treatment for Day type II crescent fracture-dislocation from June 2005 to December 2017. Percutaneous cross screws internal fixation was performed in 40 patients, and open reduction and internal fixation was performed in 26 patients. The patient characteristics, surgical complications, radiographic and clinical outcomes and were compared. RESULTS: There was no statistically difference on the mean time from injury to surgery between the two groups. The time of operation, the amount of blood loss, the length of incision, and the hospital stay were significantly shorter in the percutaneous cross screws internal fixation group. No significant difference on Matta scores and Majeed scores between the two groups. The open reduction and internal fixation group resulted in a higher rate of intraoperative hemorrhage, nerve injury, discomfort, and pain. CONCLUSION: Percutaneous cross screws internal fixation for Day II type pelvic crescent fracture-dislocation was safe and effective. Minimally invasive fixation had the advantages of short operation and hospitalization time, less intraoperative bleeding, and surgical trauma.
